Hey... found this on ebay...

what are your thoughts on it? Looks pretty decent... does it subtract from the looks too much? I guess I'm also worried about aligning everything... and the adhesive... the adhesive on my door sills didn't work well enough...

not a fan of those on any car guess it might save your door but to me it just seems to cut the car up the less lines the better IMO

Not bad looking at all but would have liked to see a straight on side view to see it better and more like in real life. The price though is a ripoff. I'm also not sure it's placed in a location to prevent dings. The door is already angled inward where it is mounted and that side moulding is pretty flat.

at first i had no idea what was going on.

but then its the door guard. i think those are not worth it. sad to say, but your car will get dinged eventually. and those wont guard against car doors taller than us.

I am curious as to your opinion on why it is a rip-off? What are you comparing the price to? Show me what else is availble. Not those magnetic things I hope.

I am looking for constructive criticism. I have sold quite a few of these for different model Toyota's and this is the first time that I have gotten a negative response. I can assure you there is not a lot of mark up in these mouldings either.

I do understand that these will not save you from every door ding that you may encounter, but it's a start.

Please give me some usable responses. I do appreciate it.

Thanks for checking in. I actually don't have that much of a problem with the price... was just concerned with the aesthetics (which are pretty good) and the effectiveness.

Can you provide a front shot of a car with this on? So we can tell just how far it reaches out and consequently how many door dings it might help with...(since, as was pointed out earlier, it appears that the moldings attach to the part of the door that goes inward)

I don't think it looks all too bad. Gen1's have them and also doesn't look bad there.

However, uneffective, hah.

I will try to come up with some more pics. The guy that owns the Solara in the pictures does not want to drive the car in the snow... I have to respect that.

I do want any input you can give. Thanks.

Toyotapartsnow,
Thanks for posting here. I'd like to see a front head on shot and a side shot. The only criticism I have is that it looks like from where it is on the side that it wouldn't protect too well against a door hitting the side. But a front shot looking along the side would clarify that much more.
