Has anyone out there been able to find vent visors for the '04 Solara?

I have 24,000 on my factory tires and still have plenty of tread left on them but don't really like the way they handle especially on wet pavement. I was wondering what tires others have gone to and their likes and dislikes about the replacement tires. Thanks in advance.

Excuse my ignorance, but what in the world is a vent visor?

This is the only vent visor I know, but how would you use them on our car considering that the doors are frame less?

As for tires, what is your price range and what exactly are you looking to achieve?

Dang good point...you know I haven't thought about that...duh. Would be nice to have something where you could roll the glass down a little and not get soaked in the process. So much for that idea...now do you know of any 70 mph umbrellas.

As for the tires...oh I don't know...somewhere around a C note or so.

Astro had door visors exactly like what Michael posted. They work for framless windows too, but you'd have do put the double sided tape on your car. My car however is a convertible, I can't put one at all. Those things are great during the rainy days.

The Solara has a more than adequate ventilation system that works very well in the rain to stop the annoying fog on the windows without having to open you windows. All you need to do is to remember to not keep the recirculation button on so you will eqalize the humidity in the car withthe outside and you wont need the fugly plastic things stuck to the side of your car. Those things just scream JC whitney or Pepboys.

I understand what your saying, but in my case I can't roll my windows down at all when it rains. I could use those things to re direct water from getting inside the car. But it would only work on the coups.

Why would you need to even open the windows when it is raining? To smoke? I can't think of any other reason.

Prolly cus his car fogs up...lolz. He just needs to adjust the setting inside the car so that it doesn't fog up.

To get fresh air. Or when I have to swipe my badge to get into my work's parking garage on a rainy day all the water drips into the car and I would think that a visor can prevent that from happening.

that thing usually mount on door frame which solara doens't have it.
if u purposly mount it on roof near window, u ganan have problem to open the door if u dont' roll ur window down.

i donno the detail. i just think don't expect too much that anyone will make it...

I used to have a set and it's taped to the body of the car. I didn't have any problems clearing the window. although it's very tight. My driver side was slightly too low and I did rub a bit. The pass. side was perfect with no rubbing.

Here's a pic: (man, a pre-bodykit pic!)

Astro,

Where did you get them and who made them?

Thanks for postin' pics btw, very helpful. So, you roll the windows down prior to closing/opening? When you took them off, did you have any paint damage from the area where the double-sided tape was?
