Noticed that H10 and H11 are hard to find by some members so Im posting a URL where to find them in the USA so you dont need to import.

Warranty is 6 months on some through two years on others. I was wandering around the M3forums dreaming a bit and they all run Hoen's.

HOEN ion yellow H10's

Postby DocJohn » Fri Sep 17, 2004 5:38 pm

UPS just delivered my pair of HOEN ion yellow H10 bulbs for the foglights. They bench test at a true 55 Watts at 12.0 volts as labeled.

If you want yellow fogs in the gen 2, these are the way to go unless you want to spend (lots) more money for a custom conversion using the yellow Lexus foglight capsules.

Sorry, no night photos yet, but these should give you some idea of what they lool like. The yellow color is more intense at night.

I'm sorry, I must be a little slow, but I can't find the "Ion Yellow" on the site. Are you guys talking about the "All Weather" Fog lamps?

OOPS, SORRY. Yes, these are the Hoen "All Weather" yellow fogs. "Ion Yellow" is PIAA's name for their yellow fog bulbs.

ALSO: The HOEN website lists these "All Weather" yellow H10 bulbs as being 42 Watts, but if fact, what I received were 55 Watt yellow H10's.

Wut kind of bulbs are you using for your low beams? I ordered a pair of the Hoen Xenonmatch Plus because the ones i have right now aren't too bright. I bought the cheap ass e-Bayers.

My high and low beams are Nokya Arctic White Stage II bulbs. You can read my test & review at: http://www.zer0.info/solaraguy/viewtopic.php?t=11064

The Hoen Xenonmatch Plus you ordered should be plenty bright and probably brighter than the Nokyas.

Neither... my headlights (low beams) & fog lights are both on, and I didn't photoshop it either. It just must be the angle at which the photo was taken plus the daylight. Looks pretty slick? :)

I WISH I knew how to wire the fog lights independent of the low beams, but I'm not going to be the first to try this without seeing a copy of the electrical manual diagrams.

I think I know of a way to have them wired for independent and simultaneous use....I have a very limited background in electrical wiring. If I have time, I'll give it a try........but don't make me the only guinea pig on this one guys.....lol.

Before I even start, does anyone know if this will void any warranties on the car?

OK, so i live in Gainesville, FL. And tonight it was so foggy that you could barely see your hand if it was out more than a foot and a half. And the reason i'm posting this is because when i saw the fog at approximately 4:30 am, i just had to go for a drive to test out the Hoen H11 and the All-weather H10s. These bulbs are freaking awesome. The low beams...I think i got the Xenonmatch plus...look exactly like HID's. The all-weather cut through the fog just like the sun. (OK, so im exaggerating but these bulbs are freakin sweet). Wow...i can honestly say that those 80 bucks were definately well spent.
