3M Clear Bra? Vinyl to protect bumper/hood from rock chips?

Does anyone know if there is a company who makes the 3M Clear Bra or other quality vinyl overlay for an 04-06 Solara SE Sport? This is a clear vinyl overlay that protects the front bumper and hood. I am wondering because I just picked up an 04 SE Sport and it has only 15k miles on it and its bumper/hood is flawless. I would like to keep it that way! :)

Thanks in advance!

PS: I am a new member to SG, however I have been lurking on here for a while ever since I became interested in Solaras (4 months ago). I just found *THE* Solara two weeks ago and decided to finally make a username. I will post pics in the introduction forum soon.

welcome to SG

as for your post, i think you answered your own question. from what i remember i posted yrs ago, 3M quality is higher than most out there. i think they have different types also. check out their site and see what you find. just make sure you find a shop that can put it on correctly for you.

Yeah, I question the method that some of these shops use though. I know there are some shops that have templates so they can precut the vinyl; I have heard others just apply vinyl and cut it on the car. I would greatly prefer the first method.

I actually have a guy who has done the tint on all of my previous vehicles who I would like to do the install on this clear bra, but he does not have access to these templates.

I hoped to find out that there was a kit offered, and hopefully that if there was that it was a 3M kit as 3M guarantees that their vinyl will not shrink, discolor, discolor paint, leave adhesive residue etc.

Thank you for the quick responses and also for the "Welcomes". :) from looking at 3M's site I believe they just make the vinyl, and not the actual cut outs. I will keep digging.

my friend owns this shop www.instylegraphics.com very reliable, he's now partner with VIP Status and I think he used to charge $500~$600 for 3M clearbra for the hood+headlight+bumper. I had him put on all that for the MBZ CL600 and it was very impressive cuz I kinda hit the Palm Tree Leaf when it was windy and it just bounced it right off without any damage to the body.

Awesome link, bu I wonder why they have so many different templates for our cars. I mean, either we have a body kit or we don't... or is it a personal coverage decision?

Either way, bookmarked! If I only knew about this sooner....
