Mesh Grille 7/11/09 UPDATE WITH PICS
I placed an order for the mesh and stuff to make my own mesh grille. Since Michael T doesn't make them anymore, I had to find an alternative because I really liked his work. We'll see how it turns out. PICS OF THE ENTIRE PROCESS AS SOON AS THE STUFF COMES!
---UPDATE---
SORRY FOR THE DIRTY CAR ahahahhaahha.

Okay well, i finished after a couple of days of tinkering. The lower grille was much easier than the upper one. I just put a piece of cardboard behind the grille and traced the outline of it and then cut it out. Then i put the cardboard on the mesh and cut the mesh out. Easy enough.
The upper however, was nowhere near as easy. First I took the original grille out, and put a big piece of tracing paper over the front of it and traced out the shape of it. I then put the paper on cardboard and cut it out. Then i added an extra inch and a half to the top of the piece because it had to be folded over to fit and screw into the old screw holes. it turned it pretty good. After I did all that with one piece of mesh, I decided it looked like crap, and realized i had just enough mesh for a seccond cut out the same exact size. So i cut the seccond one out, and put it with the first one (offset ) so now you see half as much as you saw before. I'm much happier with the results. Plus its sturdier.
