It unlocked but now my driver door unlocks SOMETIMES and sometimes it doesnt want to unlock which makes me have to walk around the car to unlock the passenger door. I look pretty stupid because i try my door just hoping it works and if it doesnt i have to walk around the car and walk back around to my door haha.

Look at it on the bright side, if you have a date you'll look like a gentlemen opening the door for her when you're really just avoiding looking stupid LOL.

Hahaha i have always been told that

Black Bob wrote:Maybe I missing something here but how do you lock your keys in the Gen 2? My Solara doesn't allow me to lock the doors with the electric lock button. The only way I can see locking yourself out is if you accidently bump against the actual latch thereby moving it MANUALLY forward with your hand or hip. Please explain....

You can't lock it with the rocker switch? Geez- I was pretty sure you could.

nope it just unlocks itself if i remember correctly

That only works though if the key is in the ignition. My Gen 1 has that feature.

The more I look into this idea, the more of a pain it seems to be. The BCM goes offline after 10 mins so I can't use the lock/unlock button on the door. I would have to tap into the power wire for the lock solenoid, and I have no wiring diagram and don't feel the need to rip my door apart just yet. I may hold off this project till I'm ready to replace my door speakers.
