Is it worth the money to add a woodgrain kit to a SE?

If you like it and you plan on keeping your car, seems like as long as the price is right to you, it should be fine.

If your car is leased or you don't plan on having it for a while, I wouldn't spend any money on anything but gas.

I think it looks great but you'd want to do it right.. lotta pieces and stuff.. that's actually one of the next things I want to do the car.. I personally think it's worth the money and adds even more style to the lara.. i'd go for it. but that's just my .02 ;)

It's only worth it to you - if that's what you like. It adds no value to the car whatsoever. ;)

Wood interior? No way, man, that's just dead weight! Get racing flames or something! That will get you at least 10hp at the wheels!

I posted this subject last summer. Back then I purchased a kit of Brushed Aluminum and sent it back to the company because it didn't look much different than what we have. It cost $180.

A couple of weeks ago I saw a kit on ebay from the same company in New York. I got it for $29.99 plus $10.00 shipping. It is Japanese Maple Wood and I attached it with two-sided scotch tape and took pics. I don't know how to do a poll but it might be interesting to put the pics on Solaraguy. Six pics of before and after. I could email them to someone if they want to set it up.

Moderator...........Looks like a lot of work to show folks what their interiors would look like with and without woodgrain trim. Thanks anyhow.

How about we try this: If you want to see pictures of a Solara with and without woodgrain trim, PM me with your email address and I will sent you the pics.

Huh???

Open photobucket about 5 minutes
Upload pics 2 minutes
Paste links to Solaraguy 30sec

Whats all the hard work? It took you longer to type your post then it would be to post the pics. Don't bust the Mods chops for wanting you to take responsibility and learn to do something at the same time.

I have an SE model with the black woven seats. It had carbon fiber side panels where the door handles are. I bought the full carbon fiber dash kit, which includes the console and overhead. It was about 20 pieces of exactly matching carbon fiber. The kit made the interior of the car look excellent. From the dull silver factory spray paint look to all carbon. Worth the money. Be very careful installing so holes around buttons and switches are perfectly centered.

Does it look like this?

This is my car but it came from the factory this way. It was my understanding that all 2005 SE Sports had this look.
