SCION TC HEADERS to SOLARA?

SCION TC HEADERS to SOLARA?

Hey guys....serious question here. I found a great deal on headers for the 2AZFE engine...however, they are for a SCION TC. Will they be compatible on my 05 solara being they share the same engine?

They will mount up to the block problem free, but the bungs for the 02 sensor might be off, so you may have to modify that.

Tacti has a modified set on his Gen2. Search, check his site or contact him.

HEADERS

Postby 47TH_Ronin » Fri Jan 25, 2008 1:16 pm

Hey guys, the headers i found are from JVT RACING with a 1 year waranty for 150bucks with shipping. They look damn near identical to the headers on my solara now...i took the heat shield and everyting off....main problem i see maybe the connection to the down pipe..im not looking to spend an arm and leg into modding though..im about to deploy to iraq...again (GO ARMY) so money is somewhat limited. if ANYONE knows where is can find headers for an 05 solara 4CYCLINDER please let me know. im in the process of ordering the TRD exhaust and either the injen short ram or the weapon r secret weapon intake...trying to find out which is better compatible with the mass air flow senser. i just figured some headers would be sweet icing to the cake. I did something the other day in which surprised the hell outa me.....i literally white smoked my tires....and i mean bad, almost felt as if i were in a drag car lol...didnt think my lara could do it....she showed me ha!

my tires

Postby 47TH_Ronin » Fri Jan 25, 2008 5:46 pm

I have KUMHO or something like that. They are pretty good tires, I dont loose traction that much. i still have the stock 17' rims. it was a toss up between lambo doors and rims, or....trd fstb, trd rsb, led mirrors, upper and lower grill, trd exhaust, headers, eye lids, injen intake, solara door sills, lowering springs. so obviously, the doors and the rims can wait lol.

HEADERS

Postby 47TH_Ronin » Mon Feb 04, 2008 11:08 pm

not yet bro...i just ordered the headers. they should arrive sometime this week. i also orderd lowering springs, trd swy bar, trd frnt stut bar, trd exhaust, injen intake, and the solara silk door sill protectors. the headers will be instlled some where between all those other things, but as soon as i get them installed i will post with pictures of any mods needed.......also, anyone know of any performance chip for the solara. i found a whole bunch on ebay but they range from 9.00 to 65.00 that just sounds a little too cheap for a real mod chip. ofcourse they all say they are meant specifically for the listed vehicle, wont damage engine or ecu, or void warranty. if anyone knows or tried one, let me know please.
