I've read alot of threads and comments about the TRD sport muffler for the 2nd gen Solara, but when I went to TRD USA and downloaded the new catalog, the exhaust upgrade was listed under the cat-back section, not the sport-muffler section. Is this a new item, or the same TRD part I've read about? If it's not, has anyone tried it?

The part number is PTR06-06040-25 (Exhaust, Single Outlet, Solara '04-'06, Camry '02-'06), and I found it here http://toyotapartspeople.com/searchprod ... ust+System for $402... thanks!

^^^^ I think the pic has to be turn upside down....since our muffler outlet is at the right of the car...it makes more sense....but would have a part of it touching the road...


I would like to know more about this part...because I pay 400$ for the TRD muffler...I wonder what Crisp think about that product ?? And you Phreakdout ???


If only TRD USA could finish their flippin site !!!!!!!!!!!!

yea that picture is definatly just showing a tacoma or tundra cat back, i think a solara might look a little goofy with the exhaust coming out behind the rear tire..

Yeah after revisiting the site, I came to the same conclusion; they show that pick for all of their cat-backs listed. The part number appears to be the same as the sport muffler number, and some sites still list it as such, but many sites are listing it now as a cat-back, like the TRD catalog. I will probably stop by Toyota one day and find out for sure... the only thing they needed to change to make the system was adding the intermediate pipe/resonator replacement piece.

defenitly a pick up exhaust just the way the tubing goes over the rear axle after the exhaust and goes out the side
