Check this video Mike. I can see you doing this.

Funny! Adding an RF receiver would be really simple but more expensive. Many remote start/alarm systems have expansion ports for just such a project.

What did he do to his trunk anyway?

I should mention the new features. It blossomed a bit while I programmed. Still using the 5 inputs:
TU = Top up button
TD = Top Down button
WU = Windows all up button
WD = Windows all down button
OV = The window lock button (stops all motion and makes all buttons behave like stock.)

1. Manual mode always available. i.e.
- tap TU = auto top up sequence (windows optional)
- press TU (more than .5 sec) and it will stop when you let off the button.

2. Config mode (button triggers might change)
- TU+WU followed by TD+WD gets you in config mode.
...TU/TD to choose what option you're changing
...WU/WD to change that option.

options are
- top up sequence = with windows/without windows
- top-win delay = seconds to pause between top up and window up.
- tap delay = time to register a tap vs. press of a button. default=.5sec
- cruise control at startup - on or off.
- Top Up time = how long to run it for up or down. (In case things get slower with age)
- Window up time = same thing

Haven't decided on the output to tell you what's going on, but I'm thinking an LED or two. Any of this may be reworked if it sux in real life though. Sounds good on paper though.

Then you have some wiring to do. The only input to those motors is from the top ECU. You'd have to hijack that ECU conrtol signal before whatever relay it's using and rig a switch. Next time I'm in the EWD I'll check it out. Trouble is adding a switch w/o it looking like a hack job.

And Phase II begins!!!
For scale, there's a $20 bill behind it. That should tuck into the kick panel nicely or maybe up under the steering wheel.
