Has anyone put a strip of tint on there front glass. I know alot of older cars have those vs the new ones but i was thinking of doing it to mine . I dont think it will look stupid too because its gonna be black on black and will blend in perfectly. I cant stand the sun in the moring blinding and i just put thought into it this past week so im gonna do it today hopefully if the tint shop i go to isnt busy today.

I had my tinted 5% on the sushade of the windshield but then I went ahead and removed it and tinted my entire windshield 35%. On a black car tho the strip will look good imo.

I have a 5% top band, and although the limit is to the AS1 line, I have it 1" below it.

Geezes - like tinting the whole windshield ISN'T illegal?? :o

In CA you can do the sun visor strip - but they have restrictions as to how low you can go - some convoluted equation some idiot came up with, but I can't recall what it is anymore... been years since I've done that tho'

How low you can go is based off the tint laws for each state.

There is an AS-1 marker that many states use at the limit for tint, others use an exact measurement in inches.

Yeah, that's a light cosmetic glare-reducing one, but it doesn't do much of anything, so it's best to go place a darker shade in it, and the difference is night and day.

Granted, it looks nice, but you'll want to check regulations on that too since there might be a limit on light transmission, but there is a line that says "AS1" in black on the driver's side. It might be OK in Cali where there are 2 signals at almost every intersection; 1 way high up close to the end, and 1 lower on the pole, but every one I see in Oregon are always high-mounted and usually hanging from a wire (damn near ran a few lights in my dad's PT Cruiser with CLEAR visors, mind you), so don't get it if you're in an area like that.
