Are you dropped? If not there shouldn't be any rubbing issues at all, unless you have a 40 or less offset.

If you do a search on SG for "offset" you'll find this tasty little morsel of a topic: ;)

http://www.solaraguy.org/viewtopic.php? ... ght=offset

I've learned from a major wheel mfr. that the Solaras should be 42 offset - period. This keeps the wheel centered on the hub. With this being the case. I would like to consider going to a 20x9" rim in the back, but then I won't be able to rotate my tires front/back. :-?

I'm also going with a 245/35/20 which is fine for the Gen 2 - especially if you're not dropped more than 1.5"

Yeah, 20x9 seems to be pushing it. But I remember when 19x8.5 seemed to be to far fetched on a gen1-1.5. There were a few of us that started to use that fitment and now a lot do.

I do not doubt they will fit but it is going to be a while before someone tries it.

So you have 20x8 now or 20x8.5? (doesn't say in your CD site - just "DUBs") ;)

...and might I add - you got the teeniest tires on those rims! Are they solid rubber?

Also - aren't there already some guys putting spacers on their rears (Gen 2) to fill that goofy gap?

When are you getting ur dubss huhhh lol

gotta love them DuBS.. Mine are 20x8.5.. but the rims I got dont come in 20x8.

The tires are crazy thin, my tire was actually losing air one day, i had no clue cuz the tires are so thin sometimes I cant tell. The only way to check is check on the air pressure which I do daily now.Unfortunately theres not alot of meat on the tire so i gotta go easy alot especially over those damn potholes over here in NY.The sewers and construction suck also.

I know people were looking for spacers on here, but the gen1/1.5 peeps I seen requested it the most, but ya never know.

Hey ToyoChick - You should consider filling your tires with that closed-cell foam instead of air! ;)

I'm still waiting for my Foose rims to be made... they don't stock the 42 offset I need, and they're going to be powder-coating the centers black for me. They'll still be one-piece, but will look like the same wheel in 3pc design. As soon as they're done with this season's shooting of OverHaulin, my wheels should get worked into the system. ;) We shot a reveal for a sick Chevy convert the other night - Chip's been doing a lot of convertibles this past season!
