Scion tC quckshift kit on Solara?

Scion tC quckshift kit on Solara?

Just a thought...the Solara I-4 tranny is supposed to be the same (or very similar) as the Scion tC, except for the final drive ratio. Has anybody using the Solara fourbanger thought if the quickshift kit for the Scion tC fits? I know the Solara is nothing like the tC (tuner car), but I just thought it might work.

(Hey, its just a thought)

I've wondered about that myself. think about it though: Do you really want to possibly void your warranty by installing that? Even if it would "fit", I doubt a Toyota dealership would put it on and warranty it. (I'm facing the same dillemma with the SC)

Well, good luck Xavier...hopefully it will fit and shift feeling improve. But, like Phylum said...if it voids warranty, then I don't think I am gonna risk installing it (wish though). Right now, my Solara is just plain vanilla flavored for the same reason....and Doc's lag fix don't apply to the 4 banger :(

Damn - if I had an I4 I woulda got the manual instead of the slush-box-o-matic! I wish the I4 and V6 shared trannies.

I wonder what it would take to get a 6 spd man trans from a 3.4 V6 Tacoma? I know it's RWD... but that might be cool to freak folks out too, woudln't it? I know, I know - the Solara's V6 is transverse mounted so that wouldn't work anyways... just blowin smoke out my arse! ;)

if the Gen 2 V6 had a 6 spd manual, it will smoke the Accord on the straight.
