Adding a hitch for mountain bikes
I've got a 2006 Solara soft-top convertible and have been thinking about adding a hitch to it so that I can hook in a bike rack and carry mountain bikes. I've seen one site (hitchestogo.com) and they show pictures of how easy it's supposed to be to install.
The problem is that the pictures imply that the hitch just screws into the holes on the frame, but when I look under my Solara, I don't see any holes.
I don't want to use any of the racks that touch the frame of the car as I don't want to risk scratching the paint any more than I have to.
Just wondering if anyone has done this or if you have any recommendations. Can it be done without welding or drilling?
Thanks for any info you can provide.
