Vogue Tires and Factory Chrome Wheels

As most everyone whats something unique and speical on their ride, I have been kicking around the gold-stipe Vogue tires and Chrome factory wheels. Both can be had on Ebay. There are several plating vendors who replace your factory wheels with Chromed factory wheels.
Since I have had a reasonably bad experience with my wife's new Volvo and upgraded wheels with tight weave and spokes, they "powder" over terribly in 4-5 days of driving from the brake pads. Seems like Volvo is naturious for this. While sitting at a stoplight, you'll notice other brands with it also. Wheels are crappy black. Either by luck or design, the Solara wheels have the 5 large open spokes that "blow the dust away" .... not the best looking wheels, but ....
So, what do ya'll think about my idea ....??? Appreaciate your constructive input ... Since I have the gold emblem package, I'd have the center wheel cap gold plated also on the Chrome wheels ....
