I assume you're talking about the sill plates:

if so that's too much $$$

Hi Michael,

Thanks for your inquiry. The door sill plates are $100.00, but with our
online discount your cost is only $72.00. We have set this up for you in our
special order section. If you are interested in ordering, just return to
www.toyotapartspeople.com and click on "Special Orders" on the menu bar at
the top. Enter part number PTS21-06040 and click on submit. The description
and price will carry over to the shopping cart automatically. From this
point you can complete the order process normally. We look forward to
hearing from you.

I just put mine in Thursday.

Yes, those are the sill plates and they are still overpriced. But the ground effects kit is a damn good price now compared to what it used to be!

But seriously...how the hell do they justify selling it at that price if last year it was almost double that? Well i guess i shouldve been more patient.

So has anyone with an 04 or 05 actually checked with a dealer to see if that $995 body kit installed really holds up?

Called a dealer near me and spoke to the parts dept. Ends up the body kit is still only installed at the port and not available as an accessory by itself after purchasing the car. If you notice too, the Toyota website now corrected itself and removed it as an accessory for the 2006 SLE and now shows it only as an accessory for the SLE convertible. That matches what 2005 cars had. Damn Toyota. Teasing us with a mistaken website.

Has anyone found it to be possible to get this bodykit anywhere else?

Just go with the SE. I'ts a better look out of the gate. Looks like you would be paying a grip more for that kit anyways.

It still might be in the catalog but it is installed at the port only and for only the Convertible SLE.
