I don't like the factory wood trim either, but I also don't want a whole CF dash kit. I would just like to replace the 6 fake wood trim pieces with the factory CF trim from the SE Sport.
I wonder how much Toyota would (over)charge me for those 6 CF trim pieces?

I don't mind the wood too much but wish it was less reddish and less wide. I think it looks a bit too fake with that color. The Gen1 had the best looking wood color, the Gen1.5 wood looked way too fake, and now the Gen2 looks between the two in fakeness I think.

Shoe: That's exactly what I'd do. If I switch out the fake wood trim for the factory CF trim, I'll put the wood trim pieces up for sale on e-bay starting for $1.00. What ever $$ I get for them is fine. Next time I'm at the dealership I'll check on the price of the CF trim pieces.
I just don't care for any of these "double-stick-tape-over-trim" kits.

Nothing in any car is permanent. If they can put it in, I can find a way to rip it out! lol

Actually this is a VERY good question. I think you can pop these trim pieces off, but I’ll need to check on this in the service manual. There should be some diagrams and info somewhere in there. I'll post the answer if/when I find the info.
