I want to go ahead and start on getting the TRD FSB, and RSB for my '04 Solara V6 SLE. Where can I get them at a good price? Please advise if its best to install them or have them installed at a shop.

Toyotaparts4u.com for the best prices for both.

I just checked out Toyotaparts4u.com and ordered the RSB. But I want to get the FSB with it. I can't find it anywhere on that site for my car. How come?

Look under suspension. It is listed right above the lowering springs on the same page as the RSB and it is labeled Front Strut Tower Brace and sells for $167.85. That's the FSB.

Before you buy call Mike Lane at Toyota of Goldsboro (NC) at 1-800-951-3232.
I got my FSTB for $157 and the RSB for $170 (total with shipping).

It was my browser. It didn't load the left column in the catalog page. Anyways, I called in to order. They didn't have the FSB in stock. Since shipping will be same together or seperate, I figured I'd get the RSB first, then FSB whenever. Is that ok? or should I wait for the other piece as well?

I got the RSB first then the FSTB about a month later. If you can buy both at the same time, that's great too.
Sorry you didn't see my post first before you ordered, you might have been able to save some money by ordering from Toyota of Goldsboro (toyogobo).

Get both

Postby mmcdonald » Fri Oct 01, 2004 12:25 pm

Get them both in any order, and then install them at the same time.

The FSTB takes only 5 minutes to install (on a level floor, 59ftlbs) but if you do it first, then the rear end seems out of balance - or did to me. If you do the RSB first, you may have more of the same, but I don't know.

Anyway, you will be pleasantly surprised by the results.

Get some help installing since two people work better than one.

Also, I have my RSB on the street setting and it is fine. I have set mine on the middle setting and it stiffens the ride a lot, so maybe not so good for an SLE.

Post some pics!

Their website is http://www.toyotaofgoldsboro.com/Depart ... rvice.aspx
But DON'T order off their website. Call Mike Lane, the Parts Manager, and order over the phone. He will give you the best price this way, let you know if the parts are in stock or how long it will take to get them.
I got my RSB when they listed it on e-bay. Their service and prices were so good I called Mike when I decided to buy the FSTB. He was even nice enough to look up the nut torque spec when I e-mailed him since it didn't have an instruction sheet.
