40K is not bad at all! I'd be very happy since I only drive 10K a year. How aggressive was your driving? The Potenza RE92's I had on my GEN1 lasted no where as long as that.

Another question. How good are your rotors and brake pads? Have you replaced any yet and if so how much did it cost? If they lasted that long, I'd be very impressed. Which Solara model do you own?

I would say that I drive pretty conservatively most of the time. No need for pads/rotors yet.

I just bought my car in May, so it'll be a while before I need new anything, but plan on getting Perelli's as soon as these wear out. 8)

GEN2's don't have RE92's. My GEN1's RE92's wore out fast too but this is a Gen2 forum.

I know this is a GEN 2 Forum (am i not allowed to post here or something??) but anyways, And i am fully aware that Gen 2 had diff tires. I was putting my 2 cents in so others have # to compare to with diff tires. Im sure they were aware i have a gen 1 by my sig and avatar.

40 000 kilometers ( kms) is equal to 24500 ish miiles

converter here

http://www.escapeartist.com/Miles_Kilometer_Converter/Miles_Kilometer_Converter.html

just in case people are thinking angelo has super long life tires, Ill tell ya 1 thing hes driving alot in a year i thought i had alot at 37000 kms. But to compare my tires have alot more life in them than what your sugesting you have on your car at similar time frame and milage.

did you do regular maintenance and have your tires rotated? ( shoulda been done twice now) did you do that big 32000 km service?

Yes, I had my tires rotated quite a few times (actually I had them rotated 3 times before 8K kms because of the dealer attempts to fix my left drift). I did not include the spare in the rotation though.
I am approaching 45K already and I plan to buy one new tire and put the spare and the new one at the front for now...

I am still jealous that Canadians get a full sized spare!
