getting neo ION installed (ipod in car)

i have a friend that knows the guy who runs neo car audio and he got me a great deal on the ION (for those of you that don't know what this is, it connects your ipod directly to your car stereo so it has great quality sound instead of fuzzy fm modulation). if you order the toyota harness from these guys, i think you get a better deal than if you order it directly from toyota. this thursday (tomorrow) i'm dropping my car off at a local car audio place to get it installed.

heres a link to the neo ION:

i like the way the stock stereo looks, and i think it puts out pretty good sound (6-cd jbl system) so i opted not to go the alpine way even though jewlz system looks pretty sweet (the remote storage hole above the HU in your dash i'm not too fond of though)

oh yeah, and i'm also getting my windows tinted at the same time (finally). 20% all around, the guy said he usually sanded over those pesky matrix dots too.

i'll post pics and let you guys know how it goes..

Focus-thanks for the compliment. I actually wanted the storage pocket, so it worked out great for me, but it's not everyone's preferance. I am curious to see how the other companies kits will look.

As far as the tint, I have heard a couple other people say they sanded the dots, but my guy refused to do that because of the antenna/rear defroster. I think Michael sanded his?

off the subject...
My tint installa did sand the dot matrix and trust me, he did a hella job and it looks great. He even pointed the areas where he thought I'd be upset over and it was nothing. My buddy's 04 Accord has the same problem and the place that did his tint was horrible and his car is black and it shows up even worse.

I really should just make this a separate topic. But since you guys are already talking about tint: What do you consider a decent price on tint? I used to work at a place that did 2 drs. for $120 for the 3M film, which for a college student is a great price. I've been looking around and everyone i've talked to wants to charge me $150 for Llumar. Now, i don't really have anything against Llumar but I'd rather have 3M or Formula1 film. And on a side note, what kind of film (as in color or finish) would look good on a red car?
