Strut Bar Bolt Torque?

Strut Bar Bolt Torque?

Postby DocJohn » Wed Sep 15, 2004 5:24 pm

Can anyone tell me the correct torque spec for the bolts on the TRD front strut bar?

I just bought one of these for my gen 2 and it didn't come with any install instructions (I guess its too simple to need 'em). I figure the torque specs for the bolts on the gen 1 & 1.5 front strut tower bar have to be close if not exactly the same as the are on the newer bar.
Thanks in advance.

I guess I'm going to get to answer my own question... I contacted Mike Lane, Parts Manager at Toyota of Goldsboro (where I bought the part), who e-mailed the following:

THE TORQUE RATING ON THE FRONT STRUT TOWER BAR NUTS ARE 59 FT-LBS.

So there you are...
