I really hate to jinx myself but I picked up my car the end of August (05 SLE cont). So far, knock on wood, my car hasn't experienced the issues most everyone seems to be having with their 04s. The only reason I bring this up is you want to ask the dealership what Toyota changed in their manufacturing/design process to address the issues. The only thing which I can't comment on is the ECM throttle delay issue since I am avoiding hard accelerations and braking until my 1st 1000 has been logged....300 to go and can't wait.

You should notice a big difference in the way the car drives around the 1000 mile point...I was driving to work one morning and I was like wow, my car really is broken in now!

Re: Left drift unresolved

lateralus wrote:Just got my car back from the dealer...they allegedly fixed the left drift with tsb-st002-04, but it's doing the same damn thing again. For a moment i drove out happy and then hit the freeway back to work. Back to square one. They had my car for 4hrs. Just a friendly update.

Has anyone successfully had their left drift resolved?

Has anyone seen tire damage from their left drift problem?
(maybe this should've been a new thread)

thanks

I've had my car at the dealership twice for the left drift problem (with TSB ST002-04 in hand. They have definitely improved the problem, but not totally eliminated it. I can't understand why they can't get this car to track straight on the highway especially when its in the left lane. I'm getting kind of fed up with it myself.
