oil- 15w-50

just popped in around autozone the other day for a few things and i noticed mobil 1's 15w-50.

it says its for turbo/super charged engines.

anyone try this oil yet?

i moved from 5w-30 to 10w-30 on the last change since its getting warmer here in socal.

too bad they don't offer it by the case at costco. the price at autozone was $30 for a case of 6. where as costco has 5-30/10/30 for around $23.

decisions decisions...

That's kind of thick...

I'd stick with 5 or 10w30.

If you were racing it might not be a bad idea, the thicker oils are good when you are spending a lot time in the upper RPM range, my buddy who did SCCA used the Mobil 1 15w-50. I guess my question would be does the thicker oil actually take away HP. I know that thicker oils hurt fuel economy which is why a lot of the OEM's recommend 5w30 and even thinner oil. Honda recommends 5w20 for some of their vehicles.
