That was WHP I am assuming.

That looks about right if they did not take the engine speed all the way to 6k. (For that saftey issue they were talking about)

It's all good. Your tuned and it's all that matters.

Nice smooth tune upto 5.5rpm. Somthing happens at the end of the lines. Gets kinda unstable after 5.5. Is that common?

Lines going crazy like that are signs of knocking.

i was checking the real time Knocking on the safc, when i step on it to like 5k, the knocking level was like 550 at 5psi...is that normal?

Also, it seems like that they didn't do the knock sensor mointor, it's always stays at 0%

Wait a minute. 550 knocking is too high! The most I get is 200-205 and thats at wide open throttle and RPM is at 5500. Set your knocking levels ASAP.

I think he means the raw values during setup mode. I get 195 max.

I'm not sure what you mean by it always says 0% but you are reading 550. The most I get is around 140. -JoeB

1. mointoring with 4 channels...knk @ 0% at all time


2. setting/ knock set ..ya the raw data...550 something while i step to 5psi..but that was only like 1 sec, then it turns back to like 120 something


i'm still newbie to this safc thing, so any info can help me out.... :n00b:

The raw data is what the voltage from the sensors are sending to the ECU to let it know its working. If it goes above a certain point then that sets off the CEL. The monitoring you have to read the manual about how to setup teh knock sensor monitoring. If it stays at 0% its not set up yet. Somthing like you have to hold the rpms then press up to set it.

hsakuragi, I understand now and as usual, Ron is right on. Yes, this is something you can set yourself. It is a very easy procedure in the manual. If I remember correctly, it is as easy as reving and holding the RPM at 1600RPM then press up on the stick. Then do the same at 3500RPM. Then you go to another screen and there is an indicator to let you know if it is set and using the knock correction factors. For some reason, it seems many people skip this or think it is something they can't do. It is VERY easy and should be done as soon as the AFC is installed before ever pushing the car. -JoeB
