My car was dynoed 6 times in a row last Friday at DynoSpotRacing @ San Jose(thanks to cdssolara).

Max Power = 204.6
Max Torque = 213.5

Car = auto :-? 32k, mobile syn oil, transmission flushed at 31k (oem fluid), v8 OEM oil filter, trd radiator cap, coolant drained and fill at 30k <-if these matter

Mods = S/C 5.5psi, Greddy exhaust, k&n filter, safc ii


They said that it could get a bit more power but for *safety* issue, that's the number, because he made a good point of "u are not gonna step it to 6k everyday".

I was kinda upset to see these numbers, I thought that I can get at least like 210 on power. That jpp header did make a huge difference badly. Too bad I have no choice to sell it.

While I was driving the car after it's done, the car seems to pull harder, and I can see 5psi of boost very easy, and the greddy exhaust is getting louder also, I actually can hear it from inside of the car now.

Nah, I said I sold it. I will beat the crap out of the car if I only get that number with the jpp setup :)

So far, no CEL on knock sensor or anything...

*knock on the wood* <--please don't happen!

For those of you think that the Greddy are quiet. Let me say this to you all, when your car at 5k - redline, it's loud as a mofo, I mean like you can hear it at the end of the block, I almost turn deaf while they were dynoing it because I was standing behind the car watching.

Hey guys: been a long time since i posted, i dynoed my car at ATP in fremont, CA and i produced 224.9 fwhp, and 215. something torque. looking at the other numbers this is typical, some of the mods that i have on my 99 solara, (AT) are:

TRD s/c 4psi
injen short ram
apexi safc II - (the guy said no tuning was necessary until further mods were installed...)
magnacor wires
denso iridium

any suggestions on where to go now? i believe some exhaust/headers/y pipe would free me up a bit, right?

and is it just me, but over here in Norcal its so cold...and my car is having problems lately, cranking in the morning. any ideas? thanks

Even this post back from 2003 with only 4psi got more power than me?

i find that post kind of stiff, since it looks like the SAFC is untuned.

esp with a stock exhaust system, numbers that high is hard unless it was a manual...

i know it's like 170 hp 180 torque without the s/c

hmmm....isnt it like 250 hp and 270 torque aftering superchargin it?

The SC add about 40HP to the crank, so about 30+ to the wheels is good for an auto

Still interesting. My last dyno was 221 FWHP and 201 FWTQ with zero tuning, at only 5psi (not 5.5).

No not at all, im just wondering why the numbers seem a little low, especially after tuning. You do have 12 more pounds of torque than me though :D . What was the weather like when you did this?
