99 SE V6 5sp... Only had the car for 2 months now.. Bought it stock... already done full brake kit, suspension, trd sway, trd strut, full tuneup... ngk plugs wires.. Friday I put on the supercharger I bought off the forum.. Drove it home.. bad move... think i blew my #2 knock sensor... Ok.. so today... saturday... I put on jims fuel mod.. Hoping that would solve my detonation problem, knock sensors shot ok.. so yea its killing my timing to 0 degrees.....no good.. no power.. hurts.. Did that small wire mod after to make the ecu see sensor 2 as 1* also(P0330)... Now no more check engine light for that... but still spittin like a bastard.. I even cleared the ecu.. removin battery cable for a few hours when I went out.. Car drives great till ya get it on.. then still retards the timing like crazy but no codes... What am I doin wrong.. Agian 4psi pulley... New plugs wires... even the 3 coil packs are new... Spitting crazy only on boost... No CEL... Killlllllin me.. I actually wanna feel what this thing cna do without the retarded computer retarding everything.. me and my timing.. god damnit.. lol anyways hopefully someone has some suggestions..

Thanks again :drinking:

i meant sensor 2 to 1*

The knock sensor could still be detecting knock even without throwing a cel.

A few people have relocated the sensor and seem to have had good luck with that

Do you have disconnected the old knock sensor (you must cut the wire off) If not, it is possible the broken sensor is throwing signals.

And are there no leaks? (s/c,throttle body, intake etc..)

If you rewired the bank 1 KS and the bank 2 isn't blown, I would assume the wiring at the ECU is incorrect. Are you just throwing the PO325 code?

I would also check your fuel lines for kinks or some other reason that you're getting an insufficient supply of fuel.

Alright.. Yes I will eventually do the GM knock kit they got out, but for the time being I felt if I did the wire mod (cutting wire 28(#2) at the ecu and splicing it into wire 27(#1), should of fixed it... I no longer get CEL code P0330, but still spitting :( When I recieved the fuel mod in the mail, came with the filter for it... but it seems it had a small dent, i really dont think this could cause it but might as well change it anyways, anyone know what fuel filter to get for jim's fuel mod? Again 4psi, new plugs coils wires, jims fuel mod, disconnected knock sensor 2 spliced into #1 @ the ecu.... spits only 80%+ throttle... no intake leaks i can tell.. im gonna smoke it at the shop make sure, but i dont see anything. Fuel trims are great at idle n what not. again only when i get on the supercharger it starts spitting.

i have the NGK iridiums, brand new... i realllllllllly cant see it being that... again the car runs great not boosting... whats the most likely thing it would be a kink or block in some line?

ya 6x NGK Iridium IX Spark Plugs
Part #: BKR6EIX-11
They run great.. is the 11mm(.042 just checked) gap too much for boosting? Whats the denso gap?

Alright is that my problem... Is the IK22's gapped at .032"(0.8mm)? Which I believe is .08mm? Which understandable why it kicks out only on boost... I know i had that same problem with my nissan when i did the turbo swap on it... had to gap it down to .028 basically from .040 cause it would do the same things.. So maybe its just the gap? Hoping?

I realllly reallly am gonna hate myself because I really feel it just has to do with the gap difference in the spark plugs... I never regapped them from 1.1mm to 0.8.. (.044 to .032). My turbo nissan did the same with the .044's when i slapped on the turbo till i brought it down to .030..... Better be it... Gonna get some IK22's tomorrow when im at work...

I have the NGK Iridiums with no problems at all, but let me check the gaps...

EDIT: My NGK's are the same part # with a gap of .044.

I do believe you.. maybe I just got worse gas here in NY then ya.. who f'in knows all I know is i put in straight BKR6EIX not the -11's difference is the -11's are .044 and the non's are basically .030... If ya look up IK22's they show a gap of usually .032... Either way new ngks with the smaller gap finally make the car run fantastic :)
Glad I can finally boost.

Well nevermind now.... heh today I swapped on the 5.5psi pulley I had purchased with the supercharger and bam.. starts spittin at me again when boostin... I really think its runnin WAYYYYY to rich... Too much to ignite from my .028 gap, Short term trims both go <-10% after I let go off the gas and pretty sure im seein some black smoke... sign of unburnt fuel... Not gonna lie when I get on it like 75% throttle doesnt spit and pulls hard hard hard as hell... Now I got a knock sen 1 code (p0325) + sen 2 since i have the wire mod hooked up till i get the two ATS kits... Any idea's on what I should go for next.. I put on new coil packs I bought on ebay.. I really doubt there bad, but maybe for shts n giggles ill put back on my old ones to see if it makes a diff... Ill tell you this at 4psi I was able to floor it and it wouldnt miss... I really have no idea why when Im forcing even more air into the motor its running piggy piggy rich, above 9 mV both o2's WOT. So please... ANY idea's Anything I should check for... Trims are good at idle and i dont BELIEVE i have any vacuum leaks, but I will smoke the car tomorrow when im at the shop.

Thanks again guys.

Also I havent checked yet with a scanner to go into VIN specific not just global OBDII, but am I able to check misfires on this motor? Anyone know? Maybe I just have a bad plug some where or even wire? Just tryin to rule out anything i can.. Really just wanna be able to drive it without worries.

You're Running Premium gas right ? Anything below I believe would cause problems. I think I have the NGK Iridiums gapped at .040 Also check your wiring for your EBC. If you blew your knock sensor your car would be running really crappy with no power because the ECU is in "safe mode" CEL on. In fact I'm running 5.5 psi untuned. No probs so far with me.
