Thats not high mileage. I put my SC on at over 100k miles. eye8Pussies has 186k miles on his engine and pushing 7PSI of boost. As LONG as the engine is in good upkept condition, it;s fine.

Easily a million. I'm running 147k (N/A) and all I've done is fluid changes and T/belt/water pump. Thats it! Toyotas are basically unkillable mechanically speaking.

lol

sure...toyotas are unkillable....until you boost it. then they can die...and they can die a horrible horrible death.

I can't say that I now expect my engine to run forever at 7psi of boost.

I put mine on at that same mileage with no reservations whatsoever. My guess is something else will kill the car before the engine dies.

I think your good xgreekaricanx. I have over 165,XXX on the body, 115,XXX on the engine, and tranny rebuild at 124,XXX. I'm SC'ed at 4psi. and still running strong.

Toyota engines are nigh unkillable; however, simple mechanics dictate that shoving air into the engine will decrease the lifespan.

That being said, mild boost on the 1MZ-FE shouldn't be a big deal, provided that the engine's running like a champ when you boost it.

yeah and also make sure if your going to boost it it would be wise to change ur internals please please please do that before anything its a very smart investment and will guarantee the like of your engine if ur willing to buy pistons make sure its forged along with anything else you get. replace all hoses well not all but most. And don't go crazy and run high boost on your rid Id say 4-8 is the limit for our rides depending if you follow my advise on internals being changed out. Lets see tune your ride u should know that and yeah that's it lol

^Lol...if changing out the internals were necessary for supercharging the 1MZ, only a few of us would be boosted. I don't think TRD had that in mind when creating the s/c.
