STS TURBO?

Has anyone heard of STS Turbo and their universal application? according to their web site, ststurbo.com, one would be able to add a turbo to a car with their universal application and for us Solara guys who only seem to be able to run the sc..... i was wondering if this would be an option? just looking for opinions.....

i think its not really finding a turbo thats the problem. You can easily find a turbo and parts anywhere.

I would think the issue is figuring out the best parts and the best places to put'em in and also the issue is getting them to work in a way where its efficient and wont blow our motor or anything else.

if i remember correctly, our engines have a rather high compression, which is not optimal for forced induction applications. Although there are some who have accomplished getting turbo'd 1mz's. A couple of the top my head was shidosha, tony the tiger, and i remember someone posting a red turbo solara from hawaii.

im not sure it would be a better choice over the SC. although its allows more flexibility over how much power u run, ud still have to upgrade other parts if u wanted to run more boost. ive helped people put thoes on camaros and such and after a few months, removed them for a SC or engine bay mounted system, which seemed to yeild more power with the same size turbo for obvious reasons. to boot, i hear that some of their car specific kits are not very good, so i wonder how well a universal kit would work.

theres also a guy on toyotanation who has a turbo 1mz...Glitch360

i've seen this kit on some local vettes and its bad ass. HOWEVER, on a solara...you'll blow the engine, you'll spend more getting it to work then you will for the kit, and solaras will never be fast.
