Just slap it on the car already. :o
It's a synthetic oil, it should be fine.
But, I guess it couldn't hurt.
Got Boost?? :sweet:

^ that, and if you're really just changing the oil, it'll take 5 min and 10bucks for a bottle of gm s/c oil

nope...

when you change the oil, you just need an allen key to get the plug out, dump out the old oil, and then fill it back up...

you only really do the coupler if you take the nose off and it needs it..

I just changed the oil in my sis' solara and I also had to take the nose off because it had to be resealed due to a small leak....surprisingly, the coupler was in perfect condition and there has been no rattling noise, so I left it instead of replacing it even though I have two better ones sitting around

I want to get the oil changed in My S/C is there a DIY on how to go about doing it?

NVM Stupid question, I see what i need to do. BTW is there a gasket for the S/C if I need to replace it. i saw it leaking a tiny bit of oil, but that could jet be because one of the bolts was loose.

if there is any oil leaking, then the best course of action is to reseal it, since it will continue to leak unless it gets gunked up- which would not be a good thing either since it would take ALOT of breaking down for synthetic oil to gunk up. lol.

take a look at the link above for the TRD instructions, or take a look at the thread that I just finally posted up about my change (with pics):

as for gaskets, you're supposed to use an anaerobic gasket maker, but I used a paper gasket

^ i hope it is a toyota oem replacement... I had a new clutch in the car when i boosted mine and it slipped instantly because it wasnt a genuine toyota clutch... couldnt even enjoy the charger at all with it.

^ now that's strange....most aftermarket clutches are quite decent...that's some bad luck- I never knew that you had to do it twice? I guess that's why your car was in the shop for so long...

and I have to say that it's probably a good idea to break in the clutch before boosting.....you don't know how hard it was to not push the car right after my tranny swap....lol
