Postby shocar4 » Mon Dec 31, 2007 8:53 pm

i just bought another sc'ed solara about 2 weeks ago and here are the things that i have planned for my winter tune-up!
1. NGK Iridium IX(completed)
2. Magnecor 8.5 wires(completed)
3. Change SC'er oil(completed)
4. Clean MAF and TB(completed)
5. Replace SC'er belt(completed)
6. Cutting the TRD shifter down 2 inches(completed)
7. Jim's Fuel upgrade(completed)
8. Custom made y-pipe with high flow cat!(will be in spring)
9.PCV Valve(completed)
10.Fuel filter(completed)
Well I am almost finished with my winter updates I just have to check a few more things on the reinstall and them i will fire her up! it really wasn't too bad! i did it all in just a few days working on it a few hours a night! well onto saving for the next level after this!

wouldnt hurt to run a bottle of Injector cleaner...

maybe, seafoam the car too if u want...

Maybe a Higher flow Pump like a Walbro 190(not really a tune up).

thanks dawgz....yeah i probably will seafoam before i take it out this spring!!! i'm not sure if i have a 190 walbro or not...i hate to go buy one and then find out that i already have one and vise versa i hate to not have one and i know i really need one! still trying to decide what to do about that issue! when i purchased the car it already was sc'ed, lowered on trd's, trd short throw, 18 inch wheels, sri, trd exhaust, so i am not sure if the previous owner installed a fp or not!

so then check, it takes literally 10 mins to go look at the fuel pump assembly.

camryonbronze i definitely plan on tuning this spring after i get the y-pipe on and all my upgrades! dawgz how do i check the fp in ten minutes? i thought that you had to take the rear seats out and all of that to even get to the fp...and then how will i tell if it is a 190? thanks guys!

why did you sell your solara and then buy the same thing without mods? Did you own both at once? thatd be sick!

Doing a compression test wouldnt be a bad idea while youre in there...

u can remove the seats, and the top plate cover of the FP assembly and undo the lines in about 10 mins.

if its a 190, it should say walbro on the pump, also, look at the harness of the pump thats packed inside, if it looksl like it has crimpers or the harness has been modified, then it is a aftermarket pump.
