I don't know how much it takes. but I guess you just need to fill the nose cone completely.
Here is a kit: http://www.trdparts4u.com/MC-IHD-GAA.aspx
I'm sure it comes with instructions and enough oil to do the job.

I've never changed mine, maybe at 120k when I do my plugs, timing belt, etc, etc, etc and have the S/C off to do it. Can you do it with the S/C on? Anyone have instructions/diagrams from TRD?

i doubt that, u have to tilt the sc *the pulley facing down to drain it, then the pulley facing to the sky to fill it.

^^^yep, the bung for the resevoir is on the underside of the s/c. they couldn't have made a worse set-up for oil changes on that thing.

i waited to change my oil until about 40-50K (something like that) and it was disgusting in there. Black as hell, smelly and dirty. i'll never wait that long again.

yea mine was extremely smelly. thanks for the info. i'm just worried about only filling 100 ml because i added about 8 ounces already and its still not even full. from what i remember on the inside it doesn't need to be filled completely in order for the oil to cover where the gears meet but 100 ml jus seems like little to nothing of oil in there.

does anybody know if it will hurt anything to have more oil? or should i jus stick with the 100 ml suggested by the manual.

thanks again,
Michael

yea i've put 8 ounces so far and it still wasn't full. i think i had it upside down not vertically, if that makes a difference. when u put 100 ml of oil in yours do you remember if it was full?

118ml is what you want to put in there. AKA 4once.
TRD says 100ml but I feel more safe with 118ml considering after a few 1000 miles some "somehow" manage to leak out.

Ive changed mine every 5K mile so thats what I remember.
SC have to be taken out unless you want to hassle the trouble filling it up.
Remember to torque it back up 20lbs/tq like you would with rims in a star like pattern.

good luck.

Yes but if you want to fill it back up in the position its at good luck. I rather take the SC out and save me the pain (saves me a good 20 minutes and less mess. Also gives you a chance to clean up the SC) then having to do it at the angle the refill hole is at.
