depends on what your doing and how your going to tune. Personally I'd say the Apexi is best for most applications but the URD has other advantages in some situations as well.

I've got the SAFC2 and that works fine for me. It's simple enough and does the job I wanted it to. I've heard that the URD is nice, but it's a little over kill. It allows you to fine-tune a lot better than the SAFC does.

Difference

Postby trd4life » Tue Nov 28, 2006 7:36 pm

URD unit controls fuel AND timing, SAFC controls only fuel. The URD setup is far more effective becaus eof the ability to retard ignition timing based on boost pressure but its a little complicated to use and a bitch to always have the laptop out.

so for my meager, simple setup S-AFC neo should be okay huh?

hey, welcome back btw, Gabe!

if you want simple, the apexi will do. URD is my recomendation but allot of the shop (In my area at least) never heard of it... Soo if they havnt heard of it, I wouldnt trust them with it.

id gone with the URD myself awhile back if it wernt for the confusion with the dyno tuners in my area.

I have both and if you're running 5.5 psi the SAFC may not be enough hence my case. I need to get mine put in and get a new knock sensor. Don't make the same mistakes buddy.
