I found some vortec superchargers from this site, and it says they have them for our cars. But its sort of like a universal thing for every car. So i was wondering if they did fit, what other parts would you need, and how hard/ expensive it would be? and which kit to buy casue they have like 100

if you're going to get a "universal" s/c, you may as well go custom turbo since everything is going to be custom anyway with the "universal" s/c.....turbos are "universal" too....

If you're going custom and you don't mind centrifugal superchargers, you should get a rotrex. Do a search on "rotrex" and you should come up with a website for wheel to wheel. They sell them for $1999. It's the same price for all of them and they come with oil supply and coolers.

Turbo is also possible, but more complex and generates more heat.

In general, roots supercharger = low end torque
turbo = high end power with higher peak HP
Centrifugal supercharger = worst of both worlds, delayed boost of a turbo and and less HP on the high end like a supercharger.

However, the rotrex centrifugal supercharger is built a little different and is supposed to be a good compromise and it's really compact!

Good luck.

You will need access to a competent machinist and fabricator. I helped with a Gen 2 Legend SC project, and there are huge problems associated with building a SC setup from "scratch". However, with the 1MZ I would think that a well designed centrifugal SC would perform very well. I would suggest using the Maxima SC from Stillen (discontinued but lots of tech info online still) and the TL S/C as examples of how to integrate a CSC int a FWD V6.

However, it's alot of cash for most people, and the turbo setup has been covered a few times. A strong turbo or CSC is likely to break your 1MZ at least once, and that is even more exense to rebuild!
