S/C & Alternator & Belt Problems?

S/C & Alternator & Belt Problems?

Postby DatSRBoi » Sun Sep 10, 2006 9:39 pm

Ok I brought a brand new battery and its fully drained right now. PISSES me off. I recently went to a 5.5 psi pulley so its smaller. Now I keep on getting drained out batteries. This is the 4th time its happen and I think its my belt? I know tensioner crap is suppose to help out but my guess is that its main design was for 4 psi. I know my alternator cant be dead since I can jump start the car and disconnect my battery and it runs just fine no battery.. Could it be the belt? I thought the battery thing solved the issue but it hasnt. Its only created new issues.

Im in too much of a rush to search. did a quicky but no luck..

Whats the stock belts lenth?
and whats the recomendation lenth for a 5.5
and whats the smallest you can go on a 5.5?

I have 5 hours to get this done before school and im still doing hw right now. Help this brother out.

Hummm, I've used everything fom a 2.0 to the OEM pulley with the stock belt and never had a problem. Maybe your alternator is bad..

I do get low idle especially when i turn the AC on.. On my volt gauge when i start the car it sits at 14.3 volts but after a few minutes of driving specially in the heat or with AC one for a few seconds volt meter shows 13.6 sometime even 12.8 with low low idle in the mid 600 to high 500s.............

And I dont have subs. I know my cars perfectly safe. Just either the belt or alternators bad.

Me scured... :(
