i just got my s/c installed a few days ago! i wanted to ask a few questions!

1) how much hp and torque does the stock pully give, and how much psi does it have!

2) i have a stock car with no mods, if i put a pully 1 size smaller then it is stock u think my engine could handle it?

3) is it normal for those who have s/c'ers on their cars that u feel the car actually pulling after 4500 rpm?

because on my car when im in second, and give good amount of gas, at first u cant actually feel it increasing a lot until it hits like 4500 or 4400 rpm and then it pulls like crazy!

sorry for asking so many questions!

Reply to question 3): I was at full boost around 3800RPM with stock pulley, around 3400RPM with 5.5psi.

2) Don't go to a smaller pulley w/o all the supporting fuel mods, see all the other threads. Engine may handle it, but knock sensors will not.

Answer to question #1, If your car is a 5spd, with a blower, and everything else bone stock, your car should be putting out between 205 and 210 hp to the wheels.

stock pulley is 3.2" which should equate to about 4 psi, and if you're auto put you somewhere a bit under 200 at the wheels and around 200 if you're a 5spd.

As for not feeling the power until 4500 rpms I direct you to this thread.

http://www.solaraguy.org/viewtopic.php? ... mod+closed

I've been thinking about doing that, but apparantly it loses some lower end torque, which isn't a big deal to me considering with nitrous I have too much tq low end any how, so I'm thinking I'll do it soon, seeing as how it's entire reversable anyway. 2nd gear is wher eyou will always feel it the most as well. Get to about a 10 roll if you're 5 speed in 2nd gear, and floor it through the gear (you can start out a little light as it's not good to floor you car in a high gear at a low rpm) as you floor through the gear have your foot all the way down by at least 2.x rpms and then right at about 4500 you'll feel as if you just put your foot down even more. That thread should explain everything IIRC, it's all about the ACIS. I don't know how to exlpain it fully, but will be glad to help with any questions you have.

ACIS

Toyota calls that system Acustic Control Induction System, but that system is integrated into the stock intake manifold which is not used when a supercharger is installed. It changes the intake manifold length to tune the intake runners for more low end torque.
