Anybody try this yet? Looks very interesting. They actually list the 1MZFE in the install manual. If it delivers what it claims, this looks real nice. gman, it has an A/F target function that supposedly adjusts fuel cell values to attain A/F ratios you specify. I wonder if it delivers...

hey paul, ask shidoshia about it. He's that tabasco turbo solara guy. I believe he tried it with the turbo setup and it didnt work. It should still be useful since our motors arnt that off from stock than that turbo setup is.

After ordering the TT MAF and injectors from TRD4Life, I mentioned that I was considering that Ultimate unit. He said others were having problems with it and instead was going to run the EManage blue.
Got Boost?? :sweet:

I think Rizal was using the stand alone emanage and now is using a TEC unit.

In the past I have had many a conversation with Joeb. Since he has sold his car and everything that goes along with it, I don't know if he is going to visit here again. I called him early last week and left a message that a had a final question and to wish him adeiu and I never got a call back. Not like him though. I will try one more time tomorrow and see if he confirms a mass exadus from Toyota forums. As far as the system, I committed myself to no more computers for this car. It is very good as is.
I want my next car to be a nicely kept high miles Audi S4 that already has a new timing belt and if I am lucky a new clutch. Endless modifications in that car.

I hear you. I keep saying the same thing but I keep doing stuff :( I recently was given a 95 1/2 Tacoma V6 5 spd ext cab with only 44,000 miles and would transfer the SS stuff there cause there is pinging. It's my dad's old truck and it's in excellent shape.

BTW, Gabe just PM'd back and said he has 2 brand new emanage ultimates but hasn't installed them yet. I am curious.

emanage ultimate

Postby trd4life » Sun Dec 04, 2005 5:18 pm

Yeah i am going to put an emanage ultimate in my red camry once i get the built motor up and running smooth. I may or may not use an ultimate in the red knight, joe has that car tuned perfect withhte safc and i may just leave it the way it is.

Yea I'd say that would be a good option but you would surely be giving up a lot of speed going to a s/c truck. cool, but still a truck. I feel like at this point I am starting to hear and feel the hard driving I have put into my car. Some rattles some vibration some odd engine noises. Makes me wonder how long I should hang onto it. I bet it stands my 20g's and I'd be lucky to get some rich college kid's folks to cough up 10gs for it. I still love the sleeper thing but these cars were not made to have 300 horse. I also am fussy so when little things start showing I get fidgity. I would love to tear apart the motor add stronger pistons, port and polish do some valve work...but the car is out of commission for a good long time and it is thousands more money to never be recovered. You have to commit to hanging onto these cars for a while or loosing lots of equity.
I would love to pick of a toyota v6 truck with low miles...but then I would need a three car garage...heh... Anyway-

So true about getting your money's worth. I plan to keep the Solara till it breaks. It will be my daily driver till it dies or irks the xxxx out of me.

Didn't plan to SC the truck, just make it run a little better. Since it was my dad's and is in great shape it has a little sentimental value.

I too had planned to mildly build the motor but have decided against it unless the motor breaks. Runs great for what a Solara really is huh?

BTW, JoeB said he actually did a lot of the work for the Ultimate but Greddy didn't do anything with the data he gave them. They said "no support" and well, you know they are right. He also said it's not really ready for prime time. Gadget said he has looked at it but gave me no opinion on it. I guess I got a little excited with the so called "all in one box" but that's okay, like you gman, the ride is tuned just fine. I really need to take care of all the little gripes on the Solara so I can just worry about maintaining it already :D

Yes its true that I tried using it for my application. But the stock ECU kept fighting off the signals the EMU (emanage ultimate) transmitted to adjust injector pulses for my application. I do believe that this unit can still do the things its supposed to do on a lightly modified 1mz. ex. 370cc or < with 6psi on s/c.

I still have mine with ALL wiring harnesses including direct plug in play for the stock ecu. I'm going to be selling it on ebay or possibly sell it to anyone brave enough to try this new product on there lightly modified 1mz. PM me if you're serious. I'm selling for $500. Bought it for almost $750 for everything brand new. Only used 10 times.

Don't laugh but only 23K and 20% of that is reimbursed miles from work. It's 3 yrs and 3 months old. SC'd since 4k.

Wow, JoeB really did some work on that! So you guys got some extra ECU plugs and wired it up so all you have to do is plug the ECU harness plugs into the harness you created and then plug your harness plugs into the ECU and Ultimate.

When I was checking the unit out on Greddy's site I was wondering if the injector pulsing would work well. No on else really does that for a piggyback unit yet. Well, at least a unit like this is out there. The next generation should really start to deliver I guess.

BTW, what's the progress??
