Hey guys,

getting the s/c peices all together before the install. I've been reading the the posts about IK22. these are stated from 'sparkplugs.com' to have a 0.32 gap. The stock gap is 0.44. Will I have to regap these IK22 or leave it at the 0.32 gap and run with it w/the s/c? Also people said that the magnacore wires are the wires to choose. I was wondering if these NGK are ok(their from sparkplugs.com):

NGK Premium wire set 8738 TE65

anythign else I should get? I'm running at 4psi, with everythign else stock, except for the cai. Oh and this is going on a 96 avalon.

Thanks.

As long as you are putting plugs in, I find a set of used Supra NA injectors and install them at the same time. I think there might be some floating around in the For Sale section. That way, the S/C won't have to come off for many miles.

A sleeper Avalon sounds cool, good luck.

Do not regap the iridium spark plug (it was labaled so) and I am not too sure if it will fit the older 1mzfe well. I remeber that you suppose to do some work to make it fit. there was one supercharged avalon guy either post here, or at camryman.org, or at toyotanation.com .. maybe you need to get suggetion from him first.

good luck with your project!

I've got an older 1mz (97 Camry) and it even has the old 4 connector ECU. I used the NGK Iridiums and they worked fine.

I drove a SC Mini Cooper before buying the Solara. I found the engine braking to be so pronounced, I was getting slightly car sick even though I was driving.

Is this a characteristic of S/C in general or just the Cooper S in particular?
