Yes, 79K. Not that it matters if compression is still good. Same place he answered you about the coolant that doesn't matter.

I've got as much faith in what you say as I do from my X wife.. :x :x

At 79K be glad you got transportation. Let it go man. If you want a fast car build a car from the bottom up in a RESPECTABLE shop or buy one from the dealer.

Sorry but that's the botom line.

that statement WOULD have been valid, if u were talking about a domestic car.

were talking about a toyota @ 79K here.

If you really believe that then ask youself why does the value of a car after 50K, even a Toyota drop drastically??

Sorry Greg but your wrong here. At 79k a Toyota engine is hardly breaking in. Since when does a cars value drop drastically when it hits 50k? Dont believe me? Check for yourself.

OK, I could be wrong but I recently talked with Toyota about a car for my kid and checked the Kelly Blue Book, they all say the same thing. After 50K thw used car value goes down hill quick.

Cool- Check the Kelly Blue Book web site when you get a chance and play with the mileage a bit.

Let me know..

meh...all this talk about not expecting performance out of a TOYOTA engine after 100K?? What are we, a domestic board bashing on imports??

I went boost at 267K km, and I'm now at 285K km running at 6psi.

About to do a tranny swap as well. I know the value of the car is next to nothing, but I don't plan on ever selling it either. I just can't wait until I finish grad school, get a real job and a daily driver so I can fully use my camry as a project car.

seriously... this thread really shouldnt turn into a debate of how much the damn car is worth or telling the kid to give up and buy a brand new car just because he cant figure out whats slowing him down right now...

If you were really so concerned about the value of a car decreasing, I seriously doubt you would have spent the money you have on your solara Greg. If we were all so worried about the value of a car, we would invest all of our money and ride bikes. Not attacking you, just my 2 cents... People dont build cars for an investment, thats for damn sure...
