yup...basically, regardless of whatever's happening with the supercharger, bearings are making noises, etc, the rotors will still be spinning and pushing the air = boost, and due to the design = full boost regardless of all factors.
what COULD affect the boost though, would be if your actuator is in good condition, since it there is something wrong with it, and it's not holding vacuum the way that it should, it won't open up the port inside the suparcharger fully and allow full boost
as for lacking in power....the fact that you blew your knock sensors might point to the fact that you don't have any proper fuel mods in place. if this is indeed the fact, then there is also a chance that your ecu is pulling timing because it is reading knock.
but regardless of whatever case it may be, it is not the fault of the supercharger unless it is seizing up, or, if you have a boost gauge and it is correctly hooked up, it isn't showing any boost- which would, in this particular case, just show that there is most likely something wrong with your actuator
