I live in Netherlands....there is no company that is doing Eaton rebuilds in whole Europe.

I have some friends (these guys are specialist in rebuild motorbikes/engines etc.) they are helping me.
When they opened the s/c they were laughing about the quality of m62. (simple technique)

And , no there was no nasty sound. It sounded like a soft grinding....only when hot. (when you put a stick against your ear and the other end on the part....you can hear it)

And i heard some clinging noise of the rotors (be i believe the new s/c making also that noise)

I opened the s/c because i want to be sure every thing is going fine.
So i found this and want to solve it.
We have checked and measure every bearing...everything is in perfect condition.
So i let you know

I finaly found the problem

A week ago i have send Eaton (revison) a mail. They told me the aliment went wrong and the way to solve this:

-Mount everything back and install the bolts not tight.
-Then turn the puley by hand and gently hit the nose on every side with a wooden hammer. Everything will tehn settle and you will feel that turning the puley goes easy.
- tighten the bolts a bit cross wise.
-repeat the process till the bolts are tighten.

The use of sealent is not needed on the side of the propellers.
But if you want to use it, dont take more then 0,5 mm.

The S/C sounds better then ever and the Camry drives perfect.
(i only need a actuator )
The only thing i now hear is the sound of propellers (klinging noise) like all the s/c sounds.

Are you talking about the noise from the gears? Coz the propellors should only be making a whine when on boost/throttle.

Not any gear noise at idle or on speed.

And when i hit it , i only hear the wining noise.....i love the sound!


The s/c runs better then i bought it (with 40.000Km on it)
I think the ceramic bearings are doing there job.....i notice the s/c is feeling colder then with the normal bearings. (but i think that is not more then 10 celcius)

i hope that doesnt throw your S/C housing out of tolerance..... that looked pretty deep. check the rotors as well for any excessive wear

Looks to me as if the left propeller is not set as far in as the right side...?

That actuator has the correct vaccume hose nipple location, and works just like the TRD actuator. The only thing needed is to cut the tip of the actuator arm on the new one, and cut off the old arm that was on the TRD actuator and have it welded. I am using this same one as well. Opens and closes the gate as it should with 100%.

why would u use that when you have a part number that you can get?

If ur gonna go that route u might as well bum the one that was on the stock manifold.

this cost me 20 dollar....the original will cost me a lot more (shipping to Europe etc.) and i need to modify the rod.
This one i only need to change the plate..easy job

(The quality of this one is a lot better then the stock on.)
