maybe u put the one way valve the wrong way? lol

Im pretty sure the problem might be a vaccume leak somewhere, check the hoses for any crimping or watever.

Well the reason why i ask, is that the car ran better when i took it off completely. So i was wondering if there were different types. I would think that there might some more restrictive than some.

One-way means air only goes one way. There should be an arrow on it to show direction of airflow. Just be sure that it is sized for the proper vacuum line. I was unable to find one in the parts stores that are around me. And I wouldn't use a pcv valve in it's place.
Look and follow the vacuum line diagram that is in the install book. It's very straight forward.
Are you unable to "massage" the stock EGR tube to fit?

i got the egr tube fitted. Ive check all hoses but the PCV hose underneath. Wont be able to check the PCV hose til i get time again take off the sc.
i retorqued all the bolts. It still idles rough and sputters. but once i start driving its fine.

My CEL light came on and put the p0171 - too lean bank 1
like it says in the installation manual and like all of you told me. its probably a leak. I just need to find where. Maybe the gaskets even or my egr valve is not functioning right.

other than that i cant think of anything else.

nah i havent tried it yet. I will once i get the chance.
so i just spray it around suspected areas and see if my engine revs?
and how do i make sure my egr valve is closed and fucntioning properly?

Can you get a better pic of these lines. Are they the ones running underneath the battery?

Whats capped off??
In the Install supplement (page 2) they do not cap this off. No caps are used.

Only thing I can think of is the hose behind that SC that connects to the head valve case is broken. There are too many variables to everything but that hose behind the SC was my first thought along with the hose next to the TB......a small opening in either hose will cause that same idle problem until you start driving.

i used the supplement instructions for the vac lines and it fired up perfectly, no issues to report... Im pretty sure Joe is right, I didnt cap anything off either. Im sure they revised it for a reason.
