Beyond the usual fuel upgrades, knock sensore upgrades/relocation, maybe ignition, maf, tranny cooler, etc.
What other upgrades have you done to hold the extra power?
As well, any other problems come up yet?
And does anybody have any dyno charts?
Thanks!

I have the 2.9" pulley and boost should be 5.5psi but I'm hitting the 6-6.5 psi mark on the TRD boost gauge. The fuel system (fuel pump/rails, injectors), thermostat, knock sensors are still stock.
Upgrades done for the 5.5 boost are:
- The spark plugs are Toyota (Denso) Iridium SK20RII, P/N 90919-01210(0.7mm tip, rated at 120K miles)
- New set of spark plug wires
- I have the Toyota air-cooled ATF cooler installed in the left fender
- I installed the CP-e MAFci (tunable) for the Solara Gen-1 and just using the base (default) fuel map that came with unit.
- Though not needed, the MAF and EVAP vsv-sensor were replaced during CP-e intake installation
- 130 AMP alternator from a 2001 Toyota Highlander

I have no issues and loving the extra (element of surprise) power.

My son took the picture and you might have noticed that no vehicles in front of me. We are climbing a hill and they are all behind. :D :D :D

thanks for the info everybody

I'm more confident about running a 5.5psi pulley now, and I will pick one up once I get everything running perfect on my 4psi setup (almost perfect now...)

The only thing is that I have a 2.8" urd pulley and I'm not sure if I want to risk that extra .5psi on my engine (that has quite high mileage- most ppl wouldn't even boost at this point)....or if I should just see if anybody wants to trade for a 2.9" pulley

what do you guys think?

and does anybody burn a bit of oil now that they're blown? my car has never burned any oil until I installed the blower, and now it burns about 1/2L every 3500km or so. nothing to be worried about in my opinion considering some cars burn more than that stock, but I'm just wondering if it's the same for everybody else.

I've never really measured how much I've burned, but I've noticed that once I finish the oil change to about the time I do another one, it's gone down a bit. But again, nothing to really worry about. In terms of the mileage, you probably have more than me, but I'm over 100x now and she still runs fine (knock on wood).

I burned more oil, in life after S/C. I burned around 1 qt every 2000 miles. You burn about 1/2 quart every 2200 miles.

I first used 5w or 10w 30 and switched to straight 30 to reduce oil consumption. Using 30, 1 qt every 3k miles, then I would just change it.

Great thread, when running 5.5 psi can the standard ecu handle it or do you have to go piggy back/stand alone?

Im not saying it can, But I AM saying I recommend not. You have to be pretty lucky to pull that off.
