Because I bought my kit used and it had a 9lbs racing pulley on it, so even though the s/c had been rebuilt, the pulleys are original and had taken a beating for sure

Not cleaning them can make them go bad over time. Just like a skateboard, If you let it sit there filled with dirt and old grease over time, Heat and pressure can actually cause small dents into the bearings and with heat it leads to breaking.

Our cars does the same thing. If you dont clean it, your going to have to replace it sooner or later. Cleaning and regreasing insure that if your going to do a 8 hour travel trip that head and pressure doesnt leave you stranged in the middle of no where.

I think its worth it. Even if it takes 4 hours out of your car or less, at least you dont have to go trying to find replacements part and spending allot of money..

I love how my car feels right now. Once the clutch is in Im done for now. (DIdnt know clutch can cost almost as much as forging your block.)

^ no idea...I bought if off of another guy on TN who also used to frequenet SG as well...Westcoastff. He ran into some money problems or something so he sold his blower and I picked it up.

I presume whoever he got his off of went turbo.

Anything that tolerate heat and is thick and not liquidy will work.

Nice, I dont have a SC... someone hit me up if u got one for sale.

But wouldnt the same cleaner used on rollerblade bearings work well?

That citris cleaner from BSB is good stuff!

As for grease.... how bout ceramic based grease.... or maybe lithium based?

I cant remember the type I used on my bearings when I used to BMX race.... it was made by Pennzoil, formula 201 I think it was... only available in Peugot dealers in Dominican Republic at the time.

I been thinkin about getting my hands on an Eaton M92 and modding an intake manifold onto it.... lmao

Someone gimmie a clue here!

anyway, good insight, piks would be nice next time man!.... enjoy the ride, and be careful.
Geeks get it done, while Nerds whimper and call for mommie.
