Milage is very vague indicator of engine condition. A new or rebuilt motor after broken in will have the piston rings nicely seated creating seal with cylinder wall to give compression. But, a poorly tuned engine with just a couple thousand miles running rich will cause the rich mixture to wash the lubricant from the piston rings and loose compression quickly. Also, poorly maintained engines without regular oilchanges or have overheated early on will lack adequate compression. While boosted engines gemerally operate better with lower compression pistons installed, you don't want too low compression. So a 100K mile engine that has has been pampered can easily be in better condition than a low milage engine.

Get the compression #s as its an easy test and rules out your piston rings and valve train issues. Pretty important as if it is bad you can decide now if yu want to keeping dumping $ into bolt-ons or start rebuilding another block or cylinderhead while you still drive the car as is or get another platform altogether (manual Solaras seem better for racing which you sem to like now).

Cars loose value most as they are driven off the sales lot. Value declines based on being replaced by newer models, warranty expiration, lack of availability of new parts as car ages and very little on scheduled maintanence dates.

U know what could be a factor for the low boost/ power? My pulley is a 3.2 psi pulley, im not even at 4psi...

Image

on the Pulleyboys site it states that the 3.2" or watever is a 2.5 - 3psi boost.

what is the size of the 4psi pulley? 3.1"? 3.0?

^^^my stock pulley was like that too....said the same thing. I was like, 'WHAT?' Didn't really care tho since I was removing it and putting on the 6lbs.

In regards to your PM, I still need to look at it.

^^Yeah, i capped it off. Whenever I use the vaccum tank it just doesn't act right. But, when I cap it off it works fine :-? Try it that way and see if it makes a difference, I don't know if it'll make a difference for you.
