I have a 2000 trd solara S/C and i was wondering whether i could drop from the stock s/c pulley size to a smaller one without having to put new injectors or a new fuel pump or a tune

I have 5.5 lb pulley (2.9") and it's been on for 8 years! If you don't get a Y pipe and Cat Back (minimum mods), you won't get the benefits from the upgraded pulley..trust me I know. I have only blown the knock sensors under DYNO and WOT (street racing) in HOT weather. If you use the car as a *daily driver* and only punch it briefly..under COOLER conditions...you should be fine with NO OTHER MODS. Fuel and re-wiring the sensor are added benefites for sure, but if you don't race it and don't plan a DYNO...you should be fine. I would NOT advise HIGHER BOOST above 5.5, unless you go further with the mods.

Good luck!
