you need to run the EBC or else you're going to majorly fuk up your tranny. Every time your tranny shifts under boost while you drive its getting weaker and weaker. Lesson: put it on buddy

FYI, when you boost through gears, your tranny doesn't fail due to heat, but it fails due to a sprag snapping due to the extra power that the engine has when it slams into gear. for our/your car, specifically the second gear sprag

cool thanks for the info. always good to know.

im a track junkie and sopil my car with constant fluid changes and mechanical inspection. i know that going with no EBC isnt for everyone, but my car has been through 10+ track events each lasting 6+hrs of WOT and more abuse than other members here would imagine doing to their car.

Im just sharing what my setup is like, but yes, for the inexperienced, i say go EBC.

True, but 90% of auto transmission failures are heat related.
I do not have the ebc on and am contemplating selling it. (offers) I bought a auto from a totaled 99 Solara and am building it up. IPT or Level10. IPT seems to be cheaper in cost.
Got Boost?? :sweet:

I don't have the instructions with me but, isn't it the barb on the by-pass actuator??
Hence by-passing (releasing) boost between shifts.
