Cat smell

Postby PDX SuperSolara » Mon Jul 10, 2006 2:40 pm

That is a smell from the catalytic converter, it smells like sulphur or rotten eggs, and is common especially when the cat is newer and you run the engine hard using lots of fuel. If the cat has been broken in, it indicates the cat is under a lot of stress or is over worked.

LOL.........I would go have your cat checked out free by a local muffler shop. I had that smell with my Jeep & the cat was toasted! Good Luck!
