Chevy Malibu???

Chevy Malibu???

Postby RON » Tue Sep 22, 2009 9:44 pm

A very *sedate* looking Malibu zoomed by me this am on the way to work (on the street). It was very plain looking...but a late model (2007-2009??) V6. No biggie. We pulled up to the light and I knew I was going to have to get into her (a gal was driving it) lane very soon to get onto the fwy. So I simply decided to floor my car BRIEFLY and cut in front of her. Punched it very briefly and DAMN ..... I couldn't see her in my rear view mirror :-? ..WTF..???..she was along side???..so I put my foot into it and finally I see her a couple car lengths behind (I have 5 Speed SC). I was ...WTF IS THAT CAR CAPABLE OF??? It had a V6 badge on the back, so I'm thinking...what can this car have under the hood? I guess they're pretty quick! I looked it up..could be (depending on year) anywhere from 200 to 250 HP :o ..not bad.

BUT...once on the fwy she BOLTED like a bat outa hell :evilbat: zooming by me at 90+ ...LOL

While at a stoplight some people have a sixth-sense that you might wanna jump in their lane to reach your destination and every dead brain cell in their head is telling them not to let you in no matter what the cost. They're willing to destroy all their dignity, bumpers and camshafts to NOT let you jump in front of them and any attempt is seen as an act of war on your part. Kindly letting you merge into their lane out of courtesy is seen as pure weakness on their part and oh ho ho no they aren't gonna stand for that.

Lol. I am sooo guilty of that, only that I only pull that move on the mercury grand marquis', preferring to play it safe and not to get my ass handed to me when I do.

I wasn't trying to be an ass..I know, with my power, it's easy to squirt in front of a car without cutting them off. I was just amazed when I couldn't spot the car in my mirror...damn this guy really wants to take me on :-? ?
Anyway..the *plain vanilla* Malibu is pretty quick guys.

Well the flip side of the story is that she may have been rushing to get home to go to the bathroom. And as every fat chick in my neighborhood knows, after drinking a fifth of Kahlua and munching down three baskets of cheesesticks the urge to go potty while driving in congested traffic adds 2000 pounds to their right foot along with 20 pounds to their neckline. Fried butter anyone?

Haven't seen the interiors, though.

its B A D. even 1st gen scions have nicer dashboards than the malibu. my mom in law was shopping to replace her 95 buick last year. she looked at altima, malibu, accord and camry. we couldn't believe how chintzy the interior was on the mali, and that the salesman was sitting there dogging on the "cheap" interior of the camry! lmao

mom ended up with a fire-engine red 08 camry LE. :)
