actually, I put down 255 whp...ahem... :)

and that's not too bad on an engine that's rated at 188hp at the crank stock, eh?

and the 330cc injectors will be all that you'll ever need on a 1mz with stock internals...

I'm in the process of going standalone(link xlem), I was talking to the guy whose going to map it. He says that 440's won't be a problem, he can play around with the duty cycle. I'm looking at upgrading the internals later on this year, although I'm going to see how the finances are.

I'm in two minds wether to go for cams and bigger valves but I'll come to that later on when I plan the engine build.

Nice figs mate!

if you go standalone, then 440s shouldn 't be a problem with a good tuner since you can probabl y get some more power with even more fuel and carefully advanced ignition

let us know how it goes!

Will do, I'm just finalising which standalone to go for. I rate the mapper very highly, he had some impressive results on supras.

It made 240 whp last time I had her on the rollers.

good numbers- and right where expected with the mr2s for sure

the identical v6 s/c setup on the mr2s is a stark reminder of how important a well designed and free flowing exhaust design is

a camry or solara at 4psi can put down about 220whp max usually...and despite what critics say about dynos, they don't differ by 20whp on the same company of dynos and software

the short (basically lack of a real exhaust since the engien is in the rear of the mr2) compared to the long exhaust that a front mounted engine in a sedan has to run to let the pressure out makes a huge difference!

That's a fair point, I'm also helped by the fact that I don't have a cat in the system. The car has custom headers, no cat and a custom exhaust. Some good power gains to be had there.
