I'm not boosted, so I don't know much about that side of the 1MZ but I thought they couldn't handle more than 6 on stock internals? or do you have forged internals?

7 psi is the limit, people say you shouldnt go above 5.5 or 6. 7 usually means high hp, makes you feel like superman for a little bit then its downhill from there.

Only person that had high HP and was reliable was EricSol @ 294fwhp and 280trq.

btw, my definition of reliable is track proven and not a couple of seconds @ WOT hoping your car wont blow up. lol

edit: not saying others like Greg, JoeB, Jim, Rizal etc havent hit high hp... its just that they were different cases are each had unreal godly mods while EricSol had mainly close to OEM setup. Another person that had a high HP ride similar to EricSol's reliability record was Dats. Funny how both were silver. haha As for auto, it might have to be "gman" for a mainly high hp close to OEM Camry.

netherland24 - those are perfect numbers for 7psi - good stuff

as for how much boost the 1mz can take....I think that 7psi is fine. As long as you have the fuel capability for it. It's kind of tough to run it 100% safely on a gen4 though, I would say, since there is no way to run an external fuel regulator to rise with boost without installing a return-style system
HaHa

lol ya we're old, i been on this board since 02. almost 6 years has gone by so quick. i get bored since majority of everyone on this board talks about the 1mz, so i wanted to post some of my results too.

back then no one believed in the 2az n gave crap about the motor. but i plan working to build more power out of that engine or do a swap in the long run.
love my solara but been thinking about sellin it at the same time too. but nothing for certain yet about selling it. maybe part out some stuff
